The Aviation Club hosts eight Club lunches and an Annual Reception, which are open to Members and their invited guests. Each event offers an excellent platform for business, hospitality and networking in a friendly club-like environment.
The lunches are traditionally held at the Institute of Directors at 116 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5ED, with an average of 150 attendees at each function and plenty of opportunity to connect with industry peers and expand your industry contacts.

Thursday 14 September: Lunch with John Slattery, President and CEO Embraer Commercial Aircraft
John Slattery was appointed as President and CEO on Embraer Commercial Aircraft in July 2016, having joined as VP for Customer Finance and Asset Management in March 2011. Prior to that he spent 15 years in executive and leadership roles at a number of aircraft leasing businesses and financial institutions. For a personal insight twelve months on, this is a speaker not to be missed.
Wednesday 8 November: Lunch with Alexandre de Juniac, Director General & CEO IATA
Alexandre de Juniac became the seventh person to lead the International Air transport Association (IATA) when he took on the role of Director General and CEO from 1 September 2016. He joined with almost three decades of experience in both the private and public sectors. This includes senior positions in the airline and aerospace industries and the French government. De Juniac served as Chairman and CEO of Air France KLM (2013-2016) and prior to that as Chairman and CEO of Air France 2011-2013.

Wednesday 6 December: Lunch with Alex Cruz, Chairman and CEO British Airways
Alex Cruz started his aviation career with American Airlines, working with them in London for five years from 1990-95. From 1995 – 2000 he worked for Sabre Corporation, a technological division of American Airlines.
In the summer of 2006 he became the founding chief executive of Clickair, a low-cost airline. This became part of Vueling on 15 July 2009. Vueling has around 100 aircraft and is Spain’s second-largest airline. On 6 November 2015, he was named as the next chief executive and chairman of British Airways, assuming the role in April 2016.
