Sarah Owen – Chairman of the Forum Working Group

Sarah is a well known figure in UK aviation with over twenty years experience
within the Airline, Airport, OEM, MRO, IT, Government and Public sectors. Her
career took flight at European Aviation in 2003.

After graduating with first class honors in English, Sarah went on to manage Avtrade’s trading facilities in Dubai and Singapore. Thereafter she was responsible for sales and strategy
within EMEA, CIS for Top 100 OEM, Crane Aerospace.

The pandemic led Sarah into IT and to three of the world’s leading IT
companies: Google, SITA and Salesforce. Sarah is now Vice President, EMEA
Sales of Assaia – a ground-breaking software company and the pioneer of
turnaround optimisation technology.

Passionate about disruptive technologies and their growing impact in the
aviation sector, Sarah was also the first woman in history to enter Saudi
Aerospace Engineering in 2018. She continues to drive this agenda of diversity,
equality and inclusion in the workplace, today.

Outside of work, Sarah is an avid equestrian, arts and winter sports
enthusiast, having formerly competed at national level in three sports. She is
former Editor in Chief, UK of a multinational music publication with content
published in over one hundred and twenty countries. She has a keen interest
in politics and current affairs, together with an exceptional global network
driven by a passion for industry, people and dialogue.
